Summer Memories

We spend the winter just dreaming about summer. Memorial Day Weekend is the official start of our camping and fishing fun! Ben loves to make 'Smores with his special buddy, Dwight. In late September, Dwight left for a years' deployment in Iraq. A few days after he left, we were saying prayers with Ben and totally unprompted he said,"Dwight, keep safe, get on er-plane, come home soon." Out of the mouths of babes! This has been a part of his nightly prayers ever since!

On a recent Fall day we were treated to this unusal sight. A cow moose decided that we were harmless enough and got on her knees to take a drink from a puddle as we watched from the car!

OUR FAMILY

After a very rainy summer, we were blessed with a beautiful Fall day. Luckily it fell on a Saturday and we took an impromptu drive down Turnagain Arm to drink in the Fall colors. Portage Glacier Lake was a fun stop on our trip and we captured the moment with a self-portrait.
